Spring Baseball

We are now accepting registrations for our upcoming Spring 2021 baseball season.  Registration will be open from November 1st until December 31st.   The page below has a ton of important information, please take a few moments to read.   Scroll to the bottom of this page for the links to registration.

Important Registration Information:
Registration. Our registration will be open until December 31st.  At that time, we may open a specific number of additional slots to fill out teams in each division.  Players must sign up by December 31st in order to be guaranteed a roster spot on a team for Spring 2021.  All players signing up after that date will be subject to a wait list process on a first come, first served basis.

Wait List.  If you happen to be wait listed, you will receive an email when activated to an active roster.  You will initially see a $0.00 balance at check out.  As soon as your player is activated to a team the registration fee listed for the division will become due at that time. You will need to log back into your Dallastown Cougar Baseball registration account to finalize your payment transaction. Using your registration user name and password, click on the "login" button on our web page to sign back into your registration account.

Proof of Residency. Proof of residency documents are not required to complete your registration. Documentation must be provided if requested by Little League,  so we ask that parents upload the appropriate documentation at registration so the league has it on file.

Schedule.  Practices will begin as soon as the weather is fit, typically late March / early April.  Games will begin in mid-April and run through mid-June.  There will be (hopefully!) summer tournament teams for our minors and majors divisions, selected in early June, which will run through late July. If your child is selected for our Little League International of Little League Clarence Boyd Tournament team you may expect practice and games to be played into July.   (Please note that the schedule for our County teams will be different than the typical DCLL/LL calendar.)

League Age.
League age for all DCLL and Little League divisions is age as of September 1, 2021.
League age for York County Baseball divisions is age as of May 1, 2021.

If you have any questions or concerns about the division your child should be playing in - please contact the board president, vice president, player agent or secretary and we'll point you in the right direction.  Contact information can be found on the League Info/Board of Directors tab on our website.

Team Placement.  Evaluations will be held for minors and majors divisions.  If there are multiple teams for Intermediate or Junior divisions, evaluations will be held for those as well.  Teams in those divisions will be selected via draft based on evaluation results.

Registration Fee.  The registration fees are listed in our division offerings below.  Late registration will be offered after December 31st for an additional $25 fee, first come first served until remaining roster spots are filled.

Dual Roster.  Older players may dual roster for both a Junior LL and York County team.  These registrants will see a discount on their York County registration at checkout, decreasing the fee for the second registration to only $50. You have to register for both leagues at the same time to receive the discount.

Description of divisions.  (Click HERE for Division overviews and age breakdowns)

T-Ball (Internal DCLL): Our T-Ball division is for our youngest players.  T-Ball is a non-competitive division serving as an introduction to baseball and focusing on fundamentals.   There are no evaluations for this division, players are assigned randomly to teams.

Hybrid (Internal DCLL):  Our player/tee hybrid division, introduced in 2020, is a stepping stone between our introductory t-ball division and our first player pitch division.  This is a developmental division.  There are no evaluations for this division, players are assigned randomly to teams.

7-8 yr old 100% Player Pitch (Little League): This division is 100% player pitch for 8U players.  Teams will follow Little League D14 "Clarence Boyd" modified rules.  Players should register for the 7/8 Player Pitch division if they have previously completed a hybrid or player pitch division, can consistently throw and catch, can consistently hit a player thrown ball, and possess solid baseball fundamentals.  There will be evaluations for this division, teams will be placed via draft.

Minors (Little League): This division is 100% player pitch for 10U players.  Teams will follow full Little League rules.  Players should register for the Minors if they have previously completed a player pitch division, can consistently throw and catch, can consistently hit a player thrown ball, and possess solid baseball fundamentals.  There will be evaluations for this division, teams will be placed via draft. An 11 years old player not drafted to a Majors team, will be drafted to a Minors team.

Majors (Little League):  This is our most competitive division at 46' pitching distance and 60' base paths for 12U players.  Teams will follow full Little League rules.  There will be evaluations for this division, teams will be placed via draft.

Intermediate (Little League): This division is the first Little League division to increase field size to play on a 50' pitching / 70' base path field for 13U players.  This division is for players who are preparing to transition to 90' bases in upper age groups.  Teams will follow full Little League rules.

Juniors (Little League): This is the first division with a full 90' field. This division can range in "league age" from 13 to 15 years old.  Teams will follow full Little League rules.

14U (York County):  This division is a non-LL division which will participate in the York County Baseball league for 2021.

16U (York County):  This division is a non-LL division which will participate in the York County Baseball league for 2021.

-------------------------------------------------
Please note that the division you are registering for may not necessarily be the division your child is assigned to.  Division selected during registration will be used to determine approximate number of teams and coaches required, but will not be finalized at a later date prior to the start of games.  In an effort to provide the best experience possible for our players, final placement may be based on where the player will best develop the baseball skills needed at their current physical ability and not necessarily age.  Your child may be assigned to a division higher or lower than their registered division.
